Commission Information

Shipping
The cost of shipping 2D artwork (drawings, badges, etc.) is an additional $5 (Bitsy badge shipping is FREE). This price is STANDARD for all 2D artwork. The shipping charge includes delivery confirmation/tracking. For 3D and Fursuit commissions, the prices for shipping will vary greatly based on the item that needs to be shipped. Those prices will be discussed with the commissioner at the appropriate time. We do not include insurance in the shipping cost of any smaller items. If you would like to insure these items, please request it, but be aware that it will increase the shipping price. All orders over $200 are automatically insured for the value of the items. If you would like to refuse insured shipping, be aware that we will not be held responsible for any items damaged or lost in post. International orders do not include tracking. If you would like to add this service (this may be quite expensive), please let us know when you place your order so we can add it to your total.

Fees
Please be informed that ALL Paypal transactions incur a 3% fee, which will be calculated into your shipping and handling total. For international orders, this fee is 4%. Please keep in mind that all international orders will incur CUSTOMS fees. We cannot be held responsible for these fees, nor are we able to determine what they will be, as they will depend on your country's customs office. The customs fees must be paid by you upon entry of the package into your country. If you have questions about customs, please contact your local customs office.

Items that require a quick completion date may be subject to rush fees and will depend on the number of people currently on our commission list, and the amount of time we have to complete the commission.

Requirements
For fursuit items, concept art is highly recommended. It is required if there is any intricate pattern or design, or the character is more than two colors. For example, a simple red fox tail or a plain black wolf tail would not require concept art. However, a tail with an intricate stripe pattern or any sort of special markings would require concept art. With 2-d art, concept art is recommended, but very detailed descriptions will be sufficient in most cases. We do not provide free concept art when you commission fursuit pieces, nor do we provide art of what your character/commission will look like when it is finished. It is the commissioner's responsibility to provide this art to us to ensure that we know what it is you want. If you wish to receive art relating to your character or fursuit, you must purchase it separately. If you do not provide or purchase concept art, we cannot guarantee your item will be exactly as you requested, since without art, verbal descriptions run the risk of being open to interpretation. Also please note that once a design is decided upon and work has begun, we will not accept revisions except under extreme circumstances, and additional fees will apply.

Note that concept art does not have to be expensive or perfect. As long as the art is clear and accurately displays all colors and designs, it will likely suffice. However, please do not send us concept art of another person's character and try to pass it off as your own. Also, please do not mention changes to another person's reference sheet in order to make it match your character.

Turn-Around Time
All items are first-paid, first-served. While we do offer "rush" orders, turn-around time will always depend upon the length of the current commission list. As such, there is no "average" turn-around time, but you will typically be given an expected completion date during initial communication about your commission. If you would like an item to be completed before a certain date, please inform us of the date. The item may be subject to rush fees.

Payment
We accept Paypal (savageturtlestudios@gmail.com), money orders, checks (allow 10 days to clear) and concealed cash. We cannot be held responsible for any cash, checks, or money orders lost in the post, so be careful if you choose these options! Also please remember that Paypal payments will be charged an additional 3%-4%.

For all orders under $200, we will not begin work until payment is received in full. The only exception is for people who would like to see sketches of their 2-D commission prior to sending full payment. These circumstances require a downpayment of half the full price of the commission. All orders over $200 require a 30%, non-refundable deposit to begin work and assure your place in the queue. The remaining amount can be paid at any time, in any increments you choose. The commission must be paid in full before we will ship it to you. Please note that after we complete your commission, or the proposed completion date arrives (whichever comes last), you have 30 days to pay the remaining balance. If the balance is not paid, we reserve the right to place the completed commission on the market to sell and make back our lost profit.

Please note that a price quote on an item for commission is only good for 30 days from the time it is given. If you do not provide a downpayment or full payment during that 30 days, your order may be subject to additional fees. We reserve the right to change our item prices at any time, though customers will not be made to pay any additional amount once a downpayment or full payment has been received.

We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges once a commission is completed, approved, and mailed off.
