We are temporarily closed for fursuit commissions until we can catch up, but we will reopen as soon as possible. Anthrocon gave us more customers than expected, so we will be working hard over the next couple of weeks to finish everyone's orders and open up for new ones. We appreciate everyone's business who stopped by and we look forward to seeing you guys again at the next AC!

2-D Commissions
Drawings

These standard drawing commissions will be completed on 8.5 X 11 cardstock paper using any combination of pencil, micron pens, and prismacolor markers or colored pencils, depending on the type of commission purchased. Upon completion, these commissions will be stored in a plastic sleeve and mailed to you in a stiff envelope to try and reduce the risk of the artwork being damaged or bent in the mail. All prices listed are the base prices.

    Sketches ($10) [link] [link] [link]
    Pencil Drawings ($20+) [link] [link]
    Inked Drawings ($25+) [link] [link]
Colored Drawings ($50+) [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link]
Excessive descriptions, adult/mature material, or additional props/views/details, add an additional $5-$20
Reference Sheets

Reference sheets are widely used for identifiying a character's specific markings, clothing, colorations, species, jewelery, and any other important details you may want to share with other people. These are extremely useful when commissioning an artist to draw your character, or for trading artwork with other artists, or for fursuit construction! I've seen many people print these ref sheets out and bring them to conventions. That way, they don't need to waste time describing their character to artists they commission or risk forgetting any specific details about their character that they wanted in their commission. I recommend everyone have ref sheets, they just make life easier! All reference sheets are drawn, inked, and given flat colors using ONLY Adobe Photoshop. Excessive details or extra additions will be charged accordingly. All prices listed are the base prices.

Back and Front Views ($30) [link]
Back, Front, 3/4 View ($40) [link] [link] [link]
Back, Front, 3/4 View, 3 Expressions ($55) [link] [link] [link]
    Expression Sheet, 3 Heads ($15)

Rush fee, add an extra $20
Convention Badges

Badges are sketched on cardstock, inked with micron pens, then colored using prismacolor markers and colored pencils. They are then cut out, laminated, and fitted with your choice of either a badge clip or a lanyard (please specify this if you prefer one over the other; we use badge clips by default). We offer four different sizes and styles for badges, all of which have different prices. The sizes of these badges tend to vary, but for full-body badges, they are typically around 4 X 4 inches. For a size reference, click here.

Bitsy Badges ($10) [link] [link] [link]
    Headshot Badges ($20) [link]
    Bust Badges ($25) [link]
    Fullbody Badges ($30+) [link]
Please note: an additional $5 may be added for characters that have excessive amounts of detail. (example)

3-D Commssions
Bobbleheads

Bobbleheads (or "nodders") are fun little sculptures that have heads that "bobble." This is done by having a body piece and a head piece joined at the neck by a spring. These models are made of resin: a sturdy, plastic material that won't shatter like clay or baked sculpey. They are made by casting the resin in a unique rubber mold created by our studio. The sculptures themselves are made from the same mold (so they look identical), but they can be custom painted and fitted with accessories, fur, and more. These are NOT toys and are for display purposes only.

At the moment, we only have ONE type/species of bobblehead available. We will be developing new models to cover different species in the future. We are currently working on our next model to be added to our line-up, so keep checking back for more updates and new models!

    Custom Bobblehead (basic): $45+ [link]

This is the starting price for a basic bobblehead (limited to two colors, optional hair tuft, and one accessory). If your character has many colors, accessories, and details, the price will increase.

Your character MUST be made from a pre-existing mold. If a mold of your character is not available, we will not be able to make your character. For example, if your character is a wolf with wings, the wings can be made separately and glued on. If your character is an elephant/dragon mix, we may not be able to use a pre-existing mold to make your character. The best thing to do would be to contact us and ask if we have a mold that may be used as a base for your character. Modifications and additions will cost extra, but they are possible.

If you happen to want a mold to be created specifically for your character (no, we would not sell the mold, sorry), it will not be cheap, but it is possible. Molds are made in order to provide generic animal bases for our studio to build on, so the time and money put into making them is worth it. If a mold cannot be reused in the future and is only used once, it would not be wise for our studio to invest in its construction.

Fursuit Commissions

All of our fursuits and fursuit items are made from high-quality faux fur and are typically hand-sewn. Details may be airbrushed, but are sewn in whenever possible. We like to focus on quality and tend to be perfectionists. All prices listed are the base prices. Price may increase based on additional features or for large or highly detailed items.

Fursuit Payment Policy

Payment for individual fursuit pieces (paws, feet, tails, etc.) are due immediately. Work will NOT begin until payment is received in full. For orders over $200, a 30% deposit is due in order to begin work. This deposit is non-refundable and non-negotiable and will be used to purchase materials and fur for your commission. The remaining 70% must be paid in full one week before the estimated completion date. Photos of your commission in its final stages will be provided to assure that your commission will be completed on schedule, prior to you sending the rest of your payment. You are more than welcome to pay the full balance upfront or prior to the commission's completion date in order to assure that the commission will be paid for in time. Commissions will NOT be mailed until payment is received in full.

If you are looking to have something made quickly, please contact us as soon as possible. Rush orders are subject to rush fees, so please keep that in mind before commissioning us. These fees vary based on the item that is to be made and the time in which we are allotted. Also note that we may not have all the materials needed to make your commission, so ordering them will need to be calculated into the time we are given. Any overnight shipping fees will also need to be covered by you and vary based on the items shipped.

Warranty and Repairs Policy

Any fursuit pieces that are purchased from SavageTurtleStudios come with a 60 day warranty. If anything tears or breaks off of your commission, you are welcome to contact us and mail it back (at your expense) and we will repair it for free. Any alterations that you may need must be reported to us within 30 days of the product's completion. Any alterations for pre-made, non-commissioned items are subject to additional fees.

Once a design is decided upon, we will NOT accept revisions/changes after supplies have been ordered and work has begun. Concept art is highly recommended to assure that the commissioner and the artist agree on what the product will look like. It is the commissioner's responsibility to make alterations or pay for design changes should he or she desire them once the commission has either been completed, or work has begun.

This warranty is void if damages are due to negligence or modifications made by you, the buyer. After your warranty has expired, it will be your responsibility to fix any damages that occur with your commission.

This warranty also applies to premade, non-commissioned costume pieces that are bought from SavageTurtleStudios. Minor alterations may be made to premade items that are purchased, though an additional charge will be applied to the total for the item.

We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges once a commission is completed, approved, and mailed off. This policy also applies to premade items as well. If, after your warranty has expired, you would like us to make repairs on your item, you may contact us to discuss additional fees that will be applied.

By commissioning or purchasing from Savage Turtle Studios, you agree to the terms and conditions of our policies written above.

Commission Information
Shipping

The cost of shipping 2D artwork (drawings, badges, etc.) is an additional $5 (Bitsy badge shipping is FREE). This price is STANDARD for all 2D artwork. The shipping charge covers the envelope used to ship the item (good quality, not easy to bend), the plastic sleeve/bag to protect the item, delivery confirmation/tracking, and gas money to get to the post office. For 3D and Fursuit commissions, the prices for shipping will vary greatly based on the item that needs to be shipped. Those prices will be discussed with the commissioner at the appropriate time. If you are an international customer, please let us know in advance so we can calculate your shipping.

Turn-Around Time

Quaylak can typically complete an entire 2D commission list in about a month or so. Maybe two if she has a lot going on at the time. She always aims to have the entire list completed within a month, but if she takes a bit longer, please don't worry (and she apologizes in advance!). Anyone who commissions her is welcome to contact her via e-mail, note, or IM if they would like an update on the status of their commission. She doesn't bite, nor will she "disappear." She will not take any sort of artistic "hiatus" while she still has artwork to finish for people who have paid her. So don't worry folks, she's not going anywhere. :3

Payment

We accept paypal (savageturtlestudios@gmail.com), money orders, and concealed cash. We cannot be held responsible for any cash lost in the post, so be careful if you choose that option! Also note that Paypal payments will be charged an additional 3% to cover Paypal fees.

We must politely state that we will NOT begin a commission until payment is received in full. This rule applies to 2D commissions and 3D commissions that are less than $200. The exception to this rule is for people who would like to see sketches of their commission prior to sending payment. We can respect that and understand that some of you may have had bad past experiences with artists who stole your money and did not provide you with a product. We assure you that we are not like that and could not, with a clear conscience, allow ourselves to "steal" money from those who are interested in owning a piece of our work.

If you have a problem with this policy, then we do apologize, but we will not make any exceptions.
